More options to improve the properties of your wood coatings
Lanco 1390 – Lubrizol
What additives can we use to improve the properties of the coating?
If you are developing a water-based varnish that offers high scratch resistance and anti-slip, you can use a micronized polypropylene wax with a high melting temperature, which is also EASY to disperse for easy incorporation.
The new wax, LANCO 1390 F, is designed primarily for waterborne wood coatings, but can be used in solventborne or UV-curable applications.
How is this wax different from other Polypropylene (PP) waxes?
The main advantage over other PP waxes is that it improves paint stability, one of the most difficult challenges to achieve when formulating with water, avoiding flocculation or sedimentation.
Upgrades you can get:
- Durable surface PROTECTION.
- Matte effect with which you can control low brightness levels.
- Comfortable to use as it easily DISPLAYS.
- Prevents sedimentation giving good STABILITY to the coating.
