Which additives can be used to improve coating performance?
If you are developing a water-based wood coating that requires excellent scratch resistance and anti-slip properties, you can use a micronised polypropylene wax with a high melting point. It is also easy to disperse, making incorporation into the formulation simple and efficient.
The new LANCO™ 1390 F wax is primarily designed for water-based wood coatings, although it can also be used in solvent-based and UV-curable systems.
What makes this wax different from other polypropylene (PP) waxes?
Its main advantage over conventional PP waxes is its ability to improve paint stability, one of the most challenging aspects of water-based formulations, by preventing flocculation and sedimentation.
