Vinyl resins are among the most versatile thermoplastics. Copolymers of vinyl acetate and vinyl chloride are widely used to provide different properties depending on the application and, in some cases, are further modified with compounds containing hydroxyl or carboxyl functional groups.
Within this product line we offer two groups of vinyl resins:
1) HM VINYL RESINS (High Vinyl Acetate)
KANEVINYL HM515 – PVC/PVA with High Vinyl Acetate Content
Application: Screen printing inks, Inkjet inks.
- Excellent solubility in a wide range of solvents.
2) VINYL RESIN TERPOLYMERS
KANEVINYL T5HX – PVC/PVA/Hydroxyl Group
Application: Gravure inks, flexographic inks and wood coatings.
- Provides excellent adhesion and good solubility in ester-based solvents. It also improves pigment dispersion.
- The product exhibits a whiter colour compared to other products available on the market.
- It provides wood coatings with a smoother surface, improved impact resistance and the ability to build thicker coating film
KANEVINYL T5DA – PVC/PVA/Carboxyl Group
Application: Can coatings and aluminium sealing lacquers.
- Excellent adhesion to metal, making it ideal for can coating applications.
- It also provides improved heat-sealing strength at low temperatures (120°C) compared with other products available on the market.
