Solvent-Free Anti-Floating Additive

Lanco Antifloat D14 – Lubrizol

If you have observed colour irregularities on a surface, it may be due to pigment separation from the binder caused by incompatibilities. This phenomenon is known as pigment floating.

Lanco Antifloat D14
is an effective anti-floating agent for organic and inorganic pigments.

As a solvent-free additive, it can be used in multiple systems: water-based, solvent-based and solvent-free (“Solvent Free”).

It is recommended for all types of coatings, including construction industry applications, where the use of metallic pigments and iron oxides may cause floating defects in the final product.

Benefits:

  • Stabilises pigments during application, preventing streak formation.
  • Reduces shade variation and improves hiding power consistency.
  • Reduces the formation of Bernard cells (which mainly occur during solvent evaporation).
