Solsperse 87000 – Lubrizol
One of the main challenges when formulating with organic pigments is achieving maximum colour development and strength while increasing pigment loading to the highest possible level and maintaining the appropriate viscosity to ensure system stability.
It is well known that dispersants can help overcome these challenges. However, not all pigments behave the same way, and some are particularly difficult to disperse.
This is the case with red pigments, specifically PR 57.1, for which Lubrizol has developed a 100% active dispersant: Solsperse™ 87000. It is designed to improve the performance of the final coating by enhancing storage stability and preventing gelation during storage.
