That is exactly what happens when formulating with Chiguard® R-455, specifically designed (patented) for applications requiring maximum protection. It is suitable for both water-based and solvent-based systems.

The structure of this product contains a diol group that reacts with isocyanates to form urethane linkages, allowing it to become part of the polymer chain.
…what benefits does it provide?
The main advantage is that, once “anchored” within the product, the UV absorber DOES NOT MIGRATE to the surface! As a result, it significantly improves resistance to mechanical degradation, yellowing, and loss of colour and gloss.
…any other advantages?
It also increases photostability, reaching performance levels comparable to triazine-based UV absorbers.
It also improves tensile strength, making coatings more durable.
